Semester 2
Week 1
This was the first week of Year 12 research project and we got introduced to Our research project teacher and our subject. This week Mr T handed up many sheets which were very useful and now I had a brief idea about this subject. We were asked to choose our research topic I had 4 different ideas -
  1. Hoon driving
  2. Online gaming addiction
  3. Mahatma Gandhi
  4. Hitler
But the main draw back for me was in week 1 I could not finalize my topic, I was all confused what to research on. Then I went to Mr T for help and he told me to research on the topic which most interests me. I was still confused and at the end if week I came up with my final topic which was Mahatma Gandhi. That was just the topic I had no idea about my research questions.

Week 2
I had no idea what my question were going to be. But at the end of lesson on Monday I came up with my Questions-
  1. What were the main principles which he followed and taught others?
  2. What were his important movements and what role did he play in those movements?
  3. What did he do in his early life?

We had a task to finish off by Wednesday. All of us had to hand up a draft copy of Our proposal (Minimum 500 words).I was a bit late because I was away on Wednesday so handed it up on Friday.
(HOLIDAYS 2 WEEKS yAy!! J )
I was away during my holidays so I could not do much research on my topic.

Week 3
This week I had to catch up a lot because I was away during my holidays. I asked one of my classmates what we had to do during holidays. I had a go through 15 to 20 websites which were related to my guiding questions.
I had no idea what to do so I just referenced all of those websites. Today( 8/8/2011) i went to the library nearby my home and got some books on Gandhi.

6/14/2011 to 8/14/2011
I was busy analysing a video on my topic. will upload it soon after I'll finish off analysing the video :)

Week 3
Mr T. showed us a video on ethical consideration that we have to look at when we research, especially when conducting surveys and interviews. we also had to take notes on the video that we watched. i think the video was very useful. i made some important points of ethical consideration that i have to make when i research and i had to base this on my topic. I figured out the key findings of my research. What ethical issues could come up in your particular line of research? Students who are using surveys/interviews: you must show me your survey or interview questions before you conduct your surveys or interviews. This is to ensure you are following the correct ethical practices.
Week 4
Found some important articles and analysed them.
Week 5
I downloaded a video on Mahatma Gandhi’s early life and i have started analysing it . 2 hours video: /
